Saint John’s School is a non-profit, college preparatory, nonsectarian, coeducational day school founded in 1915. The school, located in a residential area of Condado, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has an enrollment of over 800 students from pre pre-kinder to grade twelve. Instruction is in English, with Spanish taught as part of the core curriculum every day in all grades.
Saint John’s School’s dynamic learning environment fosters the discovery of individual talents and develops students with integrity and compassion who will shape a changing world. Cultivating breadth and balance, Saint John’s offers ample co- and extracurricular opportunities including student council, community service, student newspaper, student literary-art magazine, yearbook, theater productions, instrumental music, as well as numerous clubs and off-campus educational ventures. Saint John’s athletic program fields teams at the super mini, mini, youth, junior varsity and/or varsity level in 9 sports, with teams participating in the Puerto Rico High School Athletic Alliance (PRHSAA). Saint John’s is fully accredited by the Middle States Association for College and Schools and is licensed by the Consejo General de Educacion de Puerto Rico. Professional memberships are held in NACAC (National Association of College Admission Counseling), the College Board, ACCIS (Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools), NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools) and PRPSA (Puerto Rico Private Schools Association) among others.
